Kāinga Reka

After 10 years of searching for their dream painting, they trusted me to bring their vision to life with a stunning triptych of their Aotearoa sweet home, “Kāinga Reka.” They were absolutely blown away by the final result.

Pōhutukawa blooming

This painting is a request from a dear childhood friend from my small village in the northeast of France. I’m so happy to reconnect with her in such a beautiful way. It truly feels like a gift from life!

Inner Cosmos

This painting is a tiny 10 × 10 cm square, smaller than the palm of your hand!

I created it for an exhibition at the Turner Centre in Kerikeri. I wanted to challenge myself: How could I fit the whole universe onto such a small canvas?

In the end, the answer felt simple: The universe is already within us!

Kingfish

Diving from a calm seascape into the crystal-clear ocean teeming with life: a kingfish, an octopus, and two jellyfishes. Though with curious, rounded eyes, small fishes are poking at a transparent plastic bag drifting in the water…

Pōhutukawa reaching out to sea II

His friend bought the original Painting and he really wanted this painting as well. So I created for him a duplicate of Whangaroa Pōhutukawa reaching out to sea II with the added requests for his car and boat. He loved it!

Manaia

She wanted a large Tauranga beach scene with her granddaughter dancing on the beach at sunrise. And the Whakakotahitanga flag on the rock. She was so pleased she asked me to prepare another art project!

Garage doors

The owner loved the added kingfisher on his garage door of his rental bach. A nice added artistic touch for his clients!
